1 Corinthians13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Faith, hope and love are three forces that came from God. These are divine living forces, or else Satan would not attack them as he does. A person will never try to counterfeit something that is not real. The devil tries to pervert each one of these, because they are of divine origin.

DIVINE FAITH can turn into faith of the senses. Generally people demand to see the evidence of something before they will believe. Some exceptions, which are devised by Satan, would be the theory of evolution and the all too common lie. People will immediately believe a lie about someone, instead of first checking to see if itís true.

DIVINE HOPE can turn into human hope. It is watered down until, in the minds of most people, it means a wish. People would like to see the thing happen, but do not really expect it to happen.

DIVINE LOVE came from God, but has been perverted into lust. The true love of God in a person will overlook faults in another believer, because this divine love will want to pray, instead of criticize or condemn, see 1Corinthians 13. The word "love" is a verb. Love becomes a matter of choice. You can choose to love, get along, or tolerate a person, or choose to hate. This is a matter of will, not of debate or reasoning. When a person says that they are no longer in love with their spouse, they need to realize that this is a choice to fall "out of love." A satanic spirit of division is coming between the couple. They need to unite together and bind the spirit of division, as well as loose a spirit of love to take its place. Divorces among believers would not take place if both spouses were filled with divine love.

Divisions in marriages occur because hope of resolving the problems seem to be lost. The eyes of the couple need to be opened in the spirit realm, to see where the real battle is taking place. The evil forces are doing their best to cause problems. They are out to steal the marriage, because they know that God hates divorce, see Malachi 2:16. Many times part of the trouble is that both are reaping what the have been sowing. The one who is filing for the divorce says: "I am no longer in love with my spouse." Upon close examination you will find that they have planted very little towards having a loving marriage. The other spouse saw no love and then planted none as well. Both need to ask the Lord for forgiveness, and then expect God to cause a change of heart in their own lives, instead of only in the life of the other. Some have lost hope because their spouse was an alcoholic, bound by drugs, pornography or had some other problem. Each must look to himself to see if he has contributed to the problem. Sometimes they have tried to cause an improvement or reconciliation before, but it did not last. They may be tired of having the same old problems. They are afraid that their hope will be destroyed again, so that they donít want to try another time. Each must study their Bibles more so that divine hope is increased in them to see complete victory and total restoration of the marriage, regardless of the contributing causes. Both must increase their divine faith and expect God to honor His Word.

God wants you to raise your sights. Donít expect to just break even; expect to get paid for your trouble. Satan wants to destroy the marriage by stealing it. Proverbs 6:30-31 states that the thief must return seven fold what he has stolen. Start expecting to have a marriage that is seven times better. It is not your problem how it will take place. Expect God to cause a miracle to heal the marriage.

The world is trying to destroy the Christian because he is connected to the hope of God. You do not have to be concerned, because you are MORE than a conqueror. A conqueror has overcome the enemy. Peace is signed, but the victory is acquired, with conditions. When you are more than a conqueror, you acquired peace, or the victory, with no conditions attached. When you resist the devil in the name of Jesus, you find that he must flee. Remember he does not flee with conditions, he flees because you came against him with the Word of God. This is possible because Jesus defeated him at Calvary. The power of God flows through the person who is walking in the will of God. This power becomes the driving force to cause the satanic forces to flee.

Divine hope must be a LIVING FORCE in your spirit and mind. Hope is the blueprint for faith, the plan that faith goes by. Divine hope will start to bear fruit in your life when the promises of God become alive in you. You will start to see a picture of the fulfillment of the promise in your spirit, when it is still not evident on the outside. Divine hope must be an earnest, intensive expectation that the things you are praying for will come to pass. You are expecting God to remove all obstacles that are stopping the answer from coming, because you are praying in His will.

A child was given three presents for his birthday. His grandmother later phoned him to tell him that she was sending him a bicycle for his birthday. Later he was asked how many presents he received. He immediately answered: "Four." His father wanted to know why he said that when he had only received three. He told his father that his grandmother was sending the bicycle as the fourth one. The boy had an image of the bicycle in his mind, and in his mind he had a picture of himself riding it. God expects you to plant an image of the answer to the request that is in His will, in your spirit when you pray.

What do you IMAGINE or SEE IN YOUR MIND as you pray? Are you seeing God meeting your needs, or do you see yourself trying to meet them?  Discouragement comes when, in your mind you see yourself trying to meet the need with limited or no resources. The type of hope you have in your spirit becomes the basis from which your faith will work. Human hope is wishing that God will meet the need and at the same time it sees itself trying to meet the need. Divine hope EXPECTS God to meet the need.

If you are using your own power or resources to overcome the problem you will not get your prayers answered. If you are using Godís faith, with the divine hope God has given you, you will have your prayers answered.  You must visualize the desire of your heart in your mind.

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, (favor) so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17.  (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did18. who, contrary to hope, (the hope of the world), in hope believed, (divine hope), so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."

Claiming that things exist, when they do not, is completely useless if it is dependent on divine faith that is controlled by human hope. A person who is falling from a tall building can claim that he is not falling all he wants to, but that will not change the situation. If the person is controlled by divine faith, he can state that he will not get hurt when he stops falling. He will now allow the power of God to operate through his words.

Abraham considered that which was promised, because he was not weak in faith. He was fully persuaded because he had a vision in his mind which was controlled by his spirit and it was a picture of what was going to take place. This came from divine hope from God that was causing his faith to move forward.

Romans 4:18 Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."

The above verse is referring to, "Hoping AGAINST hope." Here you have two different kinds of hope. The first comes from a spiritual power, which is a living force. The second type of hope, which controls most people, is human hope and it works against the spiritual power.

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our God is a God of hope; divine hope is part of His nature. Hope is of God and this hope becomes the anchor of the soul.

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. 19.  This hope we have as AN ANCHOR OF THE SOUL, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

The heavenly Holy of Holies is far holier than the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle or the Temple in Jerusalem. This place is so holy that none of us can go into this area. We canít go in, but our divine hope is allowed to enter. God expects you to come boldly into this area by your spirit through prayer. You are now able to receive instructions to enable you to overcome the enemy forces that are coming against you.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, (favor, love-gifts), that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

When you go to the Bible and start developing your divine hope, you will begin to see the power of God demonstrated in your life in a greater way. God will give you an image in your spirit, which will make the divine faith in you leap forward to receive the fulfillment of the vision God has given you.

Develop your sense of divine hope to a very high level. As you continue to develop this you will get to the place where you will see better through your spirit, or on the inside of yourself, than you can see through your natural eyes. You are a spirit being. The things that come to pass around you are a result of what is coming from your spirit. Faith operates on divine hope which comes through your spirit.

In 2 Kings 6:8-23, Elishaís servant was filled with fear because he saw that the army of Syria was completely surrounding them. Elisha prayed that God would open his eyes to really see what was there, verses 16, 17. The protection had been there all the time, but the servant was only using natural eyes. You have three eyes. The first two are your natural ones. The third is the eye of faith, which is connected with divine hope in your spirit.

It is very necessary for you to develop an image in your spirit that will match the divine hope that God is trying to give you from the Bible. You have been reborn and have been made the righteousness of God. This is possible because the Spirit of God dwells within you and His righteousness has been given to you.

Itís impossible for the satanic forces to penetrate the protective wall God places around His righteous ones. They are only able to get around the wall of protection when you ALLOW the image of divine hope in your spirit to be blurred by the image that the world is trying to give you.

You must constantly go back to the Bible to see who God says you are in Christ Jesus. Apply this to your life and allow the hope of God to develop in you in a greater way.

Colossians 1:20 And by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21.  And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22.  in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and irreproachable in His sight; 23. IF indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Divine hope can fade from your spirit because of the influences that the world permeates your every working hour with. Protect your divine hope! Paul tells you that you are to guard your thoughts, since these are the things that Satan uses to destroy the hope that God has given you.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh4.  for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. 5.  Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 6.  and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Satan will frequently send you thoughts that are contrary to the image of hope that God has given you. He wants you to focus on the problem instead of the promises of God which will produce the answer. Go back to the promises of God. Quote them to Satan and tell him that God is going to fulfill those promises for you. 2 Corinthians 10:5 shows you that you are to take control of these thoughts and resist them, in the name of Jesus.

Natural hope is increased by education or experiences. This type of hope will be encouraged when what is wished for comes to pass, but can let you down because it is not based on a divine source. This is why many people will tell you not to get your hopes up. On occasion doctors have told relatives of a patient, "Thereís a good chance he will recover, but donít get your hopes up." They are allowing for the possibility of failure, instead of expecting the power of God to meet the need.

"No hope" does not exist, because lack of hope becomes despair. Lack of faith is displeasing to God and becomes an evil thing.

Divine hope will produce a vision of victory because it is connected with divine faith, the "power source." Natural hope will produce nothing, because it has no power. The only thing accomplished with natural hope is that it allows death to take over.

Divine hope will never happen in the natural. This type of hope must be increased by spending time placing the promises of God in your spirit. People who have the attitude: "Well if it be the Lordís will, we will see it happen," will not see what they are hoping for accomplished. Their attitudes are based on human hope and are only wishing for the thing to take place.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Abraham was hoping against hope. He was using divine hope against the human hope that was only wishing for the thing to come to pass. Many Christians have great difficulty in this area. They are speaking words of faith with their mouth, but their spirit is being controlled by their problem.  The faith they are using is faith of the senses. The body might be full of pain, or the family may have a financial or other type of need. The mind now sends a partially accurate message to the spirit. It is accurate in the sense that the problem exists. The mind says that it does not have the answer. It is inaccurate in the sense that the answer is on the way, because it has not yet been received. A lady who is expecting can say that she does not have a baby yet. What she means is that it has not been born. When you permeate your spirit with the idea that you donít have the answer, just because you canít see it, you stop divine hope from allowing faith to work in your life. The impression might be given that you are lying when you state that you have the answer, just because it is not visible. Get rid of that thought and expect God to supply the answer to the divine expectation, or the divine hope He has put in your spirit.

Fear in you comes from your spirit. It works because of unproductive hope. The inner image inside the spirit of the person causes the things to come to pass. Jesus said that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, Matthew 12:34. Your words, coupled with divine faith, allows the power of God to cause the bad things you say to come to pass as well as the good.

The person who thinks he is a loser will constantly portray this image in his spirit, and His faith will cause that to happen. The spirit of fear comes from the realm of Satan, which will project a bad image into your spirit, and you then allow it to happen. The usual _expression is: "See, I told you so." You must stop believing the carnal nature and the circumstances, and start to believe what the Word of God teaches.

The image inside a believer will allow the power of God to produce fulfillment of this image or vision, provided it works with divine faith. Many people are bound by old habits, and are so used to the negative that they expect that to take place. They release the power of God through their negative words, which produces a negative crop. The deliverance from God came, but they did not receive it. The image in their spirit was not willing to accept it, because the answer did not match the image they were seeing.

The second type of person is someone who is bound by time and distance. He will allow any type of excuse to come between himself and the answer. This type of person does not expect the answer NOW. He expects the answer to come some time in the future.

An excellent example of someone who is bound by time and distance, is seen in the following verses:

John 11:21 Then Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22.  "But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You." 23. Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again." 24. Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

Martha was firmly convinced that her brother would rise again, but was sure that it would take place at the Resurrection Day, which was a long time away. This is similar to many who are hoping that God will meet their need, but are not expecting it to take place in the near future.

The third type expects the answer if he has someone else do the praying. This is not referring to praying in agreement with someone else, see Matthew 18:19. He refuses to develop his own divine hope or faith, and is constantly wanting to depend on the faith of someone else. His attitude is, "If Brother So and So was here to pray for me, Iíd get my prayer answered."

God shows no partiality (Acts10:34), because He honors divine faith. He honors divine faith, when it is connected with divine hope. Faith will be bound by whatever image of hope the person has in his spirit. If you have a poor image of hope in your spirit, you can change it by spending quality time in the Word of God to develop the image He has for you.

Many develop an inner image of failure in their spirit. They fill their spirit with negative ideas, and then wonder why they are having so many problems. The spirit transmits this image to the mind, which is expressed by the mouth. An example of this is: A person sneezes and then says, "I believe I am catching a cold." He is releasing divine faith through the words of his mouth to receive the cold. The next thing the person finds himself bound by the results of his words.

Proverbs 6:2 You are snared (trapped) by the words of your own mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.

The words from a person who is only using human hope, are controlled by a spirit of unbelief, which becomes unproductive hope, because it refuses to depend on the promises of God, and operates in the realm of human faith.

Matthew 13:19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and DOES NOT UNDERSTAND IT, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

Mark 4:18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19.  and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

Matthew 13 shows that you will lose the Word if you do not understand it. A large number of Christians have lost their divine hope which caused their hope to go back to human hope. Their divine faith returned to being faith of the senses. The hope of God CAN become choked out of your spirit. It is then replaced by unproductive hope that comes from the ideas and programs of Satan. These things choke out hope which removes the goal or blueprint for your faith

Your hope will be developed from one of two places. If it is divine hope, its source will always be the Word of God. If it is not divine hope its source will be the news media, or what others are telling you. It is extremely important that you protect this divine hope, because the cares of this world will choke and destroy it. Your divine faith will then become unproductive. To operate in non-productive hope is in direct opposition to Godís original plan.

Genesis 6:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The people mentioned in the above verse were placing images in their spirits which were continually evil. Many Christians are hoping that others will fail, and are secretly pleased when others fail or when a ministry is having problems. Some feel that their lot in life is to put other people down. Such ideas are frequently derived from envy or jealousy. This is what God refers to as evil or non-productive hope, because it stems from evil thoughts. These thoughts are physically natural and are spiritually unnatural. The result is the person who continues with these thoughts is going to reap a bitter harvest. He is removing his wall of protection, because his thoughts are not motivated by love.

God expects you to protect the divine faith He has given you, as well as continually work towards making it stronger. You must frequently spend quality time studying our Bibles if you are going to be victorious during the new problems that are coming to the world.
